Musid China 2026 will transcend traditional industry boundaries, centering its strategy on “Music+” to redefine the value radius of the music ecosystem. The fair will unveil five groundbreaking thematic zones: Music + Technology, Music + Wellness, Music + Culture & Tourism, Music + Pop Culture, and Music + Lifestyle Consumption— pushing the frontiers of what music can be and illuminating a bold new vision for cross-sector innovation.
Music+Technology
Sound Reimagined: The Next Evolution of Music Technology & Audio Production
From its dedicated Audio Pavilion to the expanded Music Technology Zone, MUSIC CHINA has consistently placed the technological core of the music industry front and center.
In 2026, the Music Tech & Innovative Audio Hall (Hall N2) will undergo a comprehensive upgrade, bringing together world-leading brands and China’s top innovators to showcase end-to-end solutions—from music creation and production to live performance and real-world applications.
Whether you’re a professional audio engineer, music producer, or a developer in the broader music-tech ecosystem, this is your premier destination to discover cutting-edge innovations, connect with key players, and unlock new collaboration opportunities.

Music Tech, Innovation Never Stops
Co-organized by Music China Organizing Committee, the Future Music Tech Committee of China Musical Instruments Association, and The MIDI Association (TMA), this exhibition zone has become China’s leading platform for music technology innovation.
Centered around three core pillars—Music X Lab (an incubator for next-gen audio tools), MIDI Zone (showcasing the evolving MIDI ecosystem), and X Stage (a dynamic demo and performance arena)—the zone presents cutting-edge products and integrated solutions from across the global music tech landscape.
More than just a showcase for breakthrough technologies, it serves as a vibrant hub for dialogue and co-creation. Through masterclasses, technical forums, and industry-academia roundtables, stakeholders collectively shape the future of music technology.

Music + Wellness
From ancient chanting rituals to modern sound therapy, sound has always been a profound bridge between music and holistic well-being.
At this year’s fair, the “Music + Wellness & Healing” Pavilion will be significantly expanded to showcase the deep integration of music with the broader wellness economy.
The zone will spotlight eight key domains:
- Sound healing instruments and innovative audio products
- Art therapy services and certified wellness institutions
- Design of healing spaces and restorative environments
- Functional wellness foods and beverages
- Smart wearables and biometric health monitoring devices
- Music-inspired healing lifestyle & cultural products
- Wellness tourism and therapeutic travel experiences
- Digital healing solutions powered by AI and immersive tech
By converging products, services, and immersive experiences, the pavilion aims to build a comprehensive, end-to-end healing ecosystem—one that speaks to the modern pursuit of integrated physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Music + Culture & Tourism
As cultural tourism shifts from passive sightseeing to immersive experiences, music has emerged as a vital medium for activating local heritage and crafting emotionally resonant environments. At Music China 2025, Yanguan Ancient Town – “City of Tide & Sound” captivated audiences with its pioneering “Music + Cultural Tourism” model, quickly becoming one of the fair’s standout exhibits. On opening day alone, the pavilion drew over 100 music brands, artists, and industry leaders from around the world for in-depth dialogue—and garnered significant coverage from top-tier media and strategic partners.
Building on this momentum, the 2026 Fair will expand its “Music + Cultural Tourism” initiative, exploring how music can deepen cultural storytelling, enhance destination identity, and foster emotional engagement. The goal: to drive integrated innovation across culture, tourism, commerce, sports, and exhibitions—shaping a sustainable ecosystem for next-generation immersive travel.

Music + Pop Culture
According to the Music China 2025 Post-Show Report, visitors aged 21–30 accounted for 32.45% of attendees—the largest demographic group—confirming that Gen Z is now the driving force behind music consumption and creation.
For them, music isn’t just about playing an instrument—it’s a form of self-expression, identity, and social connection.
In response, the 2026 Shanghai International Musical Instruments Fair is going all-in on Gen Z: bringing together music-inspired streetwear, AI-powered smart instruments, and interactive sound installations to shatter the myth that “making music = boring practice.”
This year, making music becomes cool, connected, and deeply personal.

Music + Lifestyle Consumption
The “Shanghai International Music Consumer Festival × New Product Launch Season”, launched at Music China 2025, served as a flagship event of the National Premium Consumption Month – Shanghai Edition, part of the city’s “Welcome CIIE Consumption Carnival.”
The initiative forged powerful synergies with the 2025 JZ Festival (Jazz Shanghai) and partnered with over 20 leading cultural venues—including Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Conservatory Opera House, West Bund Dome, Qiantan 31 Performing Arts Center, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and Oriental Pearl Tower—to introduce a joint “Show + Exhibition Pass” system. This integration significantly amplified the fair’s spillover impact across tourism, retail, and urban cultural vitality.
In 2026, the fair will further strengthen the “Launch–Experience–Purchase” closed-loop ecosystem, streamlining the journey from product debut to hands-on trial and instant conversion—turning great music into meaningful consumption, and innovative instruments into personal inspiration.

Music +
Behind these five “+” signs lies Music China’s core insight into the future of the music industry:
From Vertical Specialization to Horizontal Integration
The traditional boundaries of the instrument industry are dissolving—replaced by a new ecosystem centered on music as an experience, thriving through cross-sector collaboration.
From Technical Specs to Contextual Value
Today’s consumers no longer pay just for an instrument—they invest in what it enables: wellness benefits, cultural immersion, social capital, and elevated lifestyle quality.
From Closed Loops to Open Growth
By deeply integrating with wellness, cultural tourism, pop culture, technology, and lifestyle consumption, the music industry is unlocking growth trajectories orders of magnitude beyond its traditional market size.
This “+” is more than a symbol—it’s a connector, a catalyst, and ultimately, the fundamental equation for future growth in the music economy.
