Music China 2025 has successfully concluded!

The 22nd Music China, co-organized by the China Musical Instruments Association, Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., concluded successfully on October 25 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Global Vision, Local Innovation: Building a Community of Music and Culture

From October 22 to 25, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre once again became a dynamic hub where global music culture and artistic innovation converged. By deeply energizing the innovation chain across the musical instruments industry ecosystem, the exhibition injected sustained momentum into the sector, bolstering industry confidence and revitalizing growth. Together, participants are shaping a more prosperous future for the global musical instruments industry.

This year’s event brought together leading international brands such as Yamaha, Fender, and Beyerdynamic, alongside top Chinese enterprises including Pearl River, Dunhuang, Yuehai, Medeli, and Donner. National pavilions from Australia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom showcased their strengths alongside distinctive Chinese instrument-making clusters from Huangqiao, Yangzhou, Zheng’an, and Raoyang—creating a vibrant “Global Community of Music and Culture” that bridges the entire industrial chain and connects markets at home and abroad.

Global Brands Converge, Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Leads Industry Trends

With a four-day exhibition period and a 140,000-square-meter exhibition area, nearly 1,700 domestic and foreign enterprises gathered here. Musical instruments, new technologies and cultural craftsmanship from 28 countries and regions around the world met and collided here, jointly sounding the strong sound of "resonance of musical instruments, creating the future".

Yamaha once again made an appearance at the 2025 Shanghai International Musical Instrument Exhibition with an independent pavilion! The 3,000-square-meter pavilion was transformed into a "Sound Wave Playground", featuring separate exhibition areas for keyboard instruments, orchestral instruments, percussion instruments, and electronic instruments, offering visitors an immersive and interactive exhibition experience.

Technology × Music: Crafting a New Vision of Future Sound

Whether it was the popular highlights of this year's exhibition – the "2025 Music Technology and Audio-Visual Technology Exhibition" and the "Music X" – or the master classes, product roadshows on the X Stage, and the cutting-edge dialogues at the IMX2025, all allowed audiences to closely touch the real pulse of future music.

Cultural Inheritance and Aesthetic Education Innovation: Building a New Ecology of Music Culture

This exhibition deeply integrated music and cultural resources with a modern aesthetic education system. Through diverse carriers such as the Masters' Classes, Music Education Master Classes, Music Trial Classes, Renyin Music Lecture Hall, and the "Paper and Case Study of Unit-based Teaching in Music Classroom for the Primary and Secondary Schools", it constructed a trinity cultural communication system of "Exhibition + Experience + Teaching". Many famous experts gathered to discuss, showcasing the aesthetic value of traditional music while exploring contemporary educational practice paths, achieving full coverage from professional teaching to public aesthetic education, and building a new ecology of music education that integrates tradition and modernity.

Furthermore, as one of the organizers of the 2025 "Shanghai Little Musicians", Music China hosted the performance on-site. As an important platform to showcase the achievements of Shanghai's youth art education, the 2025 "Shanghai Little Musicians" continued the concept of "Music Knows No Bounds, Aesthetic Education Flourishes Together", comprehensively and multi-dimensionally demonstrating the demeanor of "Social Aesthetic Education for All". In addition, Music China continues to carry out public welfare practices with perseverance and increasing depth. Today, a group of autistic children, the "children of the stars", took to the performance stage of Shanghai Little Musicians. They brought a performance of "love" to society through music. This activity also specially thanks D'Addario Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group Co., Ltd., Tianjin Jinbao Musical Instrument Co., Ltd., Shanghai National Musical Instrument No.1 Factory Co., Ltd., Shanghai National Musical Instrument No.2 Factory, Bazhou Weiming Musical Instrument Co., Ltd., and Zhangqiu Xusheng Musical Instrument Factory for their loving support.

New Voices of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Music Therapy: Expanding New Boundaries of Music Culture

The "Reviving Ancient Melodies: A Celebration of China’s Musical Roots”, in the form of "Intangible Cultural Heritage + Performances + Bazaar", revitalized traditional arts such as the Kam Grand Choirs, Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo Music, and the Pudong School of Pipa. The newly created  "healing theme exhibition area" and a number of "Music Healing Experience Workshop" allowed music to return to the body and mind, and open a journey of exploration about "emotional consumption" and spiritual resonance.

Music Carnival Stage: Let Every Passion Be Seen

This year's newly launched "Take the Stage at Music China" Stage Project allowed non-professional musicians, campus bands, and amateur musicians to step onto the professional stage. The outdoor performance area is even more exciting, with a number of musicians taking turns to appear!

The exhibition has ended, the journey of music never stops. Let us carry the inspiration, resonance, and expectations from these four days and continue to play our own movements on our respective stages.

The future has arrived, and music is boundless.
